Description
A creamy and savory pasta dish that combines crispy bacon and earthy mushrooms for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 200g Pasta
- 150g Bacon
- 150g Mushrooms
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 200ml Heavy Cream
- 50g Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Parsley for Garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a bit of pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon, cooking until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté until mushrooms soften and release their juices, about 4-5 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously as it simmers. Let it thicken slightly.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until it melts and creates a glossy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing until fully coated in sauce. If too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
- Serve immediately while hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Make-ahead tip: Prepare bacon and mushrooms in advance and reheat before adding cream and pasta.
