Description

A creamy and savory pasta dish that combines crispy bacon and earthy mushrooms for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 200g Pasta
  • 150g Bacon
  • 150g Mushrooms
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 200ml Heavy Cream
  • 50g Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Parsley for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a bit of pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bacon, cooking until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté until mushrooms soften and release their juices, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously as it simmers. Let it thicken slightly.
  5. Add grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until it melts and creates a glossy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing until fully coated in sauce. If too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
  7. Serve immediately while hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Prepare bacon and mushrooms in advance and reheat before adding cream and pasta.
