Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your donut pan generously to prevent sticking.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Combine buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Mix these wet ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fill the donut pan with batter, aiming for about 3/4 full to allow for even rising.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk to your desired consistency.
