Description
Crispy and tender salmon bites coated in panko breadcrumbs, served with a creamy, spicy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh or frozen salmon fillets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon: Cut the salmon fillets into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes.
- Set up the breading station: In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge the salmon: Take each salmon piece and dredge it in flour, dip it into the beaten egg, and roll it in the panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil: In a skillet, heat a generous amount of oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Fry the salmon bites: Carefully place the breaded salmon bites in the skillet, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Make the Bang Bang sauce: Mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha in a bowl.
- Serve and enjoy: Remove the salmon bites and drain on a paper towel, then serve hot with the Bang Bang sauce and garnish with green onions.
Notes
For a healthier option, try air frying the salmon bites instead of frying in oil.
