Description

Deliciously chewy and gooey cookies that are better than the classic Toll House recipe, featuring a perfect blend of flavors and textures.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking soda in a small bowl.
  3. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt in a large bowl until creamy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, beating until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Chill the dough for better flavor and texture. Freeze unbaked dough balls for later baking.
