Description

A delightful casserole featuring layers of fluffy biscuits, creamy eggs, spicy sausage, and melted cheese, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuits
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • Butter (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until light and frothy.
  4. Prepare the refrigerated biscuits by cutting them into quarters. Spread the pieces over the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  5. Layer the cooked sausage, diced bell pepper, and shredded cheese over the biscuit layer.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare the casserole the night before and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight before baking.
