Description
Delightful carrot cinnamon rolls filled with grated carrots and warm cinnamon, topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (for frosting)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Heat the milk and butter until warm, then pour into the dry ingredients and stir to combine.
- Fold in grated carrots, egg, and cinnamon until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a flour-dusted surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle, spread cream cheese across it, then roll into a log.
- Slice the log into 1-inch pieces and place in a greased baking dish.
- Allow to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the warm frosting over the rolls after baking.
Notes
For a vegan version, use coconut oil, plant milk, and flaxseed meal instead of eggs.
