- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup pizza sauce of choice
- 1 cup loosely packed shredded mozzarella cheese (100 g)
- Pepperoni slices (as needed)
- Grated parmesan cheese (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 500℉ (260℃).
- Prepare the dough by allowing it to rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
- Oil the bottom of your 12-inch cast iron skillet with olive oil.
- Shape the dough inside the skillet, gently pushing and pulling until it fits.
- Sauce the dough, leaving a half-inch border.
- Layer about ¾ of the shredded mozzarella over the sauce, then add pepperoni and remaining mozzarella.
- Season the pizza with black pepper and grated parmesan over the crust.
- Heat the skillet on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and edges are browned.
- Cool for 3-5 minutes before slicing and serving.
