A comforting pot pie filled with shrimp, crab, and vegetables, topped with fluffy Cheddar Bay biscuits.

- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 package Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup milk (for biscuits)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add the shrimp, cooking for 3-4 minutes.
- Fold in the crab meat and frozen mixed vegetables.
- Sprinkle the flour over the seafood mixture and stir to coat.
- Pour in the seafood stock and heavy cream, stirring continuously until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the seafood mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine the Cheddar Bay biscuit mix with shredded cheddar, then stir in the milk until a dough forms.
- Dollop the biscuit dough over the seafood filling.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Can be made a day in advance; simply complete the biscuit topping and bake when ready to serve.
