Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups cooked (shredded) chicken
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (preferably sharp)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onions for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli florets and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Incorporate minced garlic and Italian seasoning, stirring for about 30 seconds.
  5. Toast the orzo for half a minute, enhancing its flavor.
  6. Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil.
  7. Simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes, stirring often.
  8. Add shredded chicken, stirring until heated through.
  9. Melt the cheddar cheese into the mixture until creamy.
  10. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
