- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine pitted cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and almond extract; stir gently until well mixed.
- Pour the cherry mixture into your pie crust and dot the top with pieces of butter.
- Cover with another pie crust or create a lattice design while sealing the edges.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown and the filling bubbles.
- Allow the pie to cool before slicing.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh cherries. Prepare dough in advance for an easier baking experience.
