Description

A comforting casserole featuring layered pierogies, smoky kielbasa, and creamy cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 packages of Mrs. T’s Cheddar Pierogies
  • 1 lb Kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Block (8 oz) Cream Cheese

Instructions

  1. Gather and prepare ingredients: Slice kielbasa into bite-sized pieces and allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature.
  2. Layer the crockpot: Start with a layer of pierogies at the bottom. Follow with half of the sliced kielbasa and sprinkle some salt and pepper.
  3. Add cream cheese: Drop dollops of softened cream cheese evenly over this layer.
  4. Pour broth: Carefully pour 1 cup of chicken broth over everything.
  5. Create another layer: Repeat with remaining pierogies and kielbasa, seasoning again with salt and pepper.
  6. Final touch of broth: Pour the remaining 2 cups of chicken broth over all ingredients.
  7. Set and forget: Close the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. During the last 15 minutes, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  8. Serve: Stir well before serving to combine the flavors.
