- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled and diced)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Fold diced apples into the cream cheese mixture.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute the egg wash with a splash of almond milk. You can also customize the filling with lemon zest or raisins.
