Description

A delightful fusion of cinnamon rolls and banana bread, this recipe offers a moist, tender loaf infused with sweet bananas and aromatic cinnamon swirls.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Cream cheese frosting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan generously.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until creamy.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  4. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until well-blended.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, folding in to ensure even distribution.
  6. Add the flour last, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Combine cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  8. Layer half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan followed by half of the cinnamon mixture.
  9. Add the remaining batter and top it with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  10. Swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter with a knife.
  11. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Cool in the pan before removing. Optional: Drizzle with cream cheese frosting.

Notes

Ensure bananas are very ripe for optimal sweetness. Don’t overmix the batter for a light texture.
