Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup whole milk or heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon white truffle oil

  • Ground oregano, to taste
  • Ground thyme, to taste
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Warm the olive oil or butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat until shimmering.
  2. Sauté the sliced mushrooms for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Season the mushrooms with salt and black pepper after about 4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the milk or cream, then add the crumbled Gorgonzola, stirring until smooth.
  5. Add the truffle oil and herbs, adjusting seasoning to taste.
  6. Toss with freshly cooked pasta if serving.
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
