Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before adding the next, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- If desired, fold in optional fruits, nuts, or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
