Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (or coconut oil)
  • 3 large eggs (or flax eggs/applesauce for vegan option)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional: Fruits, nuts, or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before adding the next, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  7. If desired, fold in optional fruits, nuts, or chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
