Description

Delightful pizza pockets with a flaky crust filled with gooey cheese and savory toppings, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into rectangles, approximately 4 x 6 inches.
  4. On one half of each rectangle, place a spoonful of pizza sauce and a heap of mozzarella cheese.
  5. If using pepperoni or any other toppings, layer them on top.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the filling.
  7. Fold the other half of the rectangle over the filling, press down to seal, and use a fork to crimp the edges.
  8. Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
  9. Place the stuffed pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
