- 1 cup strawberries, pureed
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pan.
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the flour mixture and beat until smooth.
- Fold in the pureed strawberries gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth it out.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare the lemon frosting by whisking together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Frost the cooled cake generously with the lemon frosting.
