- 1 lb beef (flank steak or short ribs)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- Optional toppings: kimchi, sriracha, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper until sugar dissolves.
- Add the beef to the marinade, ensuring it’s fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for richer flavor.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the marinated beef on the heated surface, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- Remove the beef from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Warm the tortillas on the grill or skillet for about 1 minute until soft.
- Thinly slice the beef against the grain.
- Assemble the tacos by placing sliced beef on each tortilla and garnishing with green onions, cilantro, and any desired toppings.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
