Description

A sumptuous one-pot meal featuring creamy pasta infused with spicy garlic butter steak, creating a perfect blend of flavors and textures.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjustable)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz rotini pasta (or any short pasta)
  • 2.53 cups water or broth
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Sear for 2-3 minutes until golden-brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
  4. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  5. Add the rotini and pour in water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet and gently stir together until well combined.
  7. Adjust seasoning as desired and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier dish, adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to your taste. Make-ahead components can save time on busy nights.
