Description

A comforting casserole featuring creamy sweet potatoes topped with crunchy potato chips, perfect for festive occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups crushed potato chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into even chunks.
  3. Boil the sweet potatoes in a large pot of water over medium-high heat until tender, approximately 15–20 minutes.
  4. Drain the sweet potatoes and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  5. Mash the sweet potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  6. Combine melted butter, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Mix the wet ingredients into the mashed sweet potatoes.
  8. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  9. Top generously with crushed potato chips.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
  11. Serve warm.
