Description
A comforting side dish with layers of sweet potatoes, cream, and a crispy Parmesan topping.
Ingredients

- 4 medium Sweet Potatoes
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Thyme, dried
- 1 teaspoon Rosemary, dried
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes thinly, about 1/8-inch thick.
- Layer the sweet potato slices in a baking dish, sprinkling garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper between layers.
- Pour the heavy cream over the layered sweet potatoes.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese and dot with butter.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden and the sweet potatoes are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also experiment with different cheeses.
