Description

Delightful cookies merging the chewiness of chocolate chip cookies with the gooey essence of s’mores, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brown the butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until it turns a light golden-brown and emits a nutty aroma. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Combine sugars: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until creamy.
  5. Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sourdough starter, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and marshmallows: Gently add in the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs.
  8. Scoop the dough: Using a tablespoon, scoop balls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake: Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until golden at the edges.
  10. Cool: Let the cookies cool for a couple of minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Dough can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours for enhanced flavors.
