Description

A flavorful dish featuring tender beef sirloin and colorful vegetables, steeped in a sweet and spicy Gochujang sauce served over chewy noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 8 ounces cooked noodles
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain. Mince the garlic, and slice the onion and red bell pepper. Cook the noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat Your Skillet: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Brown the Beef: Add the sliced beef sirloin to the skillet and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced onion. Sauté until fragrant and softened.
  5. Add Vegetables: Toss in the sliced red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Create the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, Gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Pour it into the skillet with the vegetables.
  7. Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add the cooked noodles and stir gently for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving hot.

Notes

Can swap beef for chicken or tofu. For gluten-free options, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
