- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 8 ounces cooked noodles
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Prep Your Ingredients: Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain. Mince the garlic, and slice the onion and red bell pepper. Cook the noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- Heat Your Skillet: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Brown the Beef: Add the sliced beef sirloin to the skillet and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced onion. Sauté until fragrant and softened.
- Add Vegetables: Toss in the sliced red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Create the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, Gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Pour it into the skillet with the vegetables.
- Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add the cooked noodles and stir gently for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving hot.
Notes
Can swap beef for chicken or tofu. For gluten-free options, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
