Description

Savor the smoky, sweet flavors of these grilled St. Louis ribs, perfect for gatherings and barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks St. Louis ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mustard powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat, about 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and mustard powder.
  3. Generously rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring all surfaces are covered.
  4. Gently place the ribs bone-side down on the grill. Cook them for about 3 to 4 hours, turning them occasionally.
  5. About 30 minutes before they finish cooking, brush the ribs with your chosen barbecue sauce.
  6. Once tender and the meat pulls away from the bone easily, remove them from the grill.
  7. Let them rest for a few minutes before slicing into hearty portions.

Notes

You can make the spice rub a day in advance. Remember to let the ribs rest to lock in moisture before serving.
