Description

These vibrant cupcakes are a delightful blend of light vanilla cake and creamy frosting, perfect for summer celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • Food coloring (red, white, and blue)
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by lining it with cupcake liners.
  2. Combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a large mixing bowl, whisking until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter into three bowls: add red food coloring to one, blue to another, and leave the last one plain.
  4. Spoon the different colored batters into the liners, layering them to create a tie-dye effect.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cupcakes completely before frosting them with buttercream and adding sprinkles if desired.
