Description

Delicious and crispy air fryer apple fritters filled with warm apple chunks and flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the basket.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Remove the fritters and let them cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare the batter and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Just allow it to come to room temperature before cooking.
