Description

Deliciously crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, these air fryer salmon cakes are a healthy twist on a classic comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 oz) of flaky salmon, drained
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, chopped green onions, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into small patties, approximately 2 to 3 inches in diameter.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  5. Place the salmon cakes in the basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate the mixture for about 15 minutes before forming patties. You can also bake these cakes in a conventional oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes if you don’t have an air fryer.
