Deliciously chewy banana oatmeal cookies that are wholesome and easy to make, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
- Add the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.
- Let them cool before serving.
Notes
Make-ahead cookie dough can be refrigerated for 24 hours before baking. Cookies can also be stored in the fridge or freezer.
