Description

Deliciously chewy banana oatmeal cookies that are wholesome and easy to make, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.
  7. Let them cool before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead cookie dough can be refrigerated for 24 hours before baking. Cookies can also be stored in the fridge or freezer.
