- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and gradually incorporate into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop generous portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. These cookies pair wonderfully with milk or ice cream.
