- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 package (1/4 oz) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a mixing bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Mix together the flour, remaining sugar, salt, and softened butter until combined.
- Add the yeast mixture and egg and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Blend cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and blueberries until smooth for the filling.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake filling across.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into pieces.
- Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar while warm before serving.
Notes
These rolls can be made ahead of time and refrigerated overnight.
