Description

Deliciously fluffy rolls filled with cream cheese and fresh blueberries, crowned with powdered sugar for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 package (1/4 oz) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a mixing bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix together the flour, remaining sugar, salt, and softened butter until combined.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and egg and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Blend cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and blueberries until smooth for the filling.
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake filling across.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into pieces.
  9. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar while warm before serving.

Notes

These rolls can be made ahead of time and refrigerated overnight.
