Description

Decadent Buckeye Fudge with a rich layer of chocolate and creamy peanut butter that creates a nostalgic treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some excess to hang over the edges.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Mix peanut butter filling: In a separate bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until fully integrated.
  4. Layer the mixture: Spread peanut butter mixture evenly into the prepared pan, pressing gently to form a solid base.
  5. Add the chocolate: Pour melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set fully.
  7. Cut and serve: Lift fudge from the pan using parchment paper, cut into squares and enjoy.

Notes

Buckeye Fudge can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week and frozen for up to three months. Avoid overheating the chocolate to maintain a smooth texture.
