Description

A vibrant stir fry combining crisp cabbage, ground beef, and pork, flavored with soy and oyster sauces for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Introduce the ground beef and pork; cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage, bell pepper slices, and julienned carrots; toss for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Drizzle in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring to coat everything.
  6. Allow to cook for another 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender but still crunchy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper; stir well to mix.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

Vegetables can be prepared in advance; store in an airtight container. Substitute proteins or add extra veggies as desired.
