Description

Delightful bite-sized tortilla cups filled with seasoned beef and topped with melted cheese and fresh vegetables, capturing the essence of a cheeseburger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooking spray or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the tortilla cups by cutting each tortilla into circles and pressing them into a muffin pan, then lightly spraying or brushing with butter.
  3. Bake the tortilla cups for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden, then remove them.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the ground beef and diced onion, cooking until browned.
  5. Season the beef mixture with minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Fill each tortilla cup with the seasoned beef and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Return the muffin pan to the oven and bake for an additional 6–8 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, and onions, and finish with a drizzle of ketchup or burger sauce.
  9. Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the beef mixture in advance and fill the tortilla cups just before baking. For an air fryer version, adjust the cooking time as needed.
