- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Cooking spray or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the tortilla cups by cutting each tortilla into circles and pressing them into a muffin pan, then lightly spraying or brushing with butter.
- Bake the tortilla cups for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden, then remove them.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the ground beef and diced onion, cooking until browned.
- Season the beef mixture with minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- Fill each tortilla cup with the seasoned beef and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return the muffin pan to the oven and bake for an additional 6–8 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, and onions, and finish with a drizzle of ketchup or burger sauce.
- Serve immediately for the best experience.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare the beef mixture in advance and fill the tortilla cups just before baking. For an air fryer version, adjust the cooking time as needed.
