Description

A luscious blend of cherry pie filling and creamy cheesecake, topped with a delightful cake crust for an indulgent dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla together in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cherry layer, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute low-fat cream cheese. This dessert can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
