Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Saute the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the bacon: Sprinkle chopped bacon into the skillet and cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
- Incorporate seasoning and cream: Stir in ranch seasoning mix, then pour in heavy cream, mixing to create a smooth sauce.
- Toss in the pasta and cheese: Add the cooked pasta, ensuring it is well coated. Gently stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Season and serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot with chopped green onions for garnish.
Notes
For a lighter option, swap pasta for zoodles or incorporate vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
