Description

A warm, golden-brown chicken ham Swiss crescent braid, beautifully woven and filled with savory ingredients, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together the shredded chicken, diced ham, Swiss cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a baking sheet, placing the wide ends together to form a rectangle.
  4. Cut strips along the sides of the dough, leaving the center intact, about 1-inch wide.
  5. Spoon the chicken and ham mixture down the center of the dough.
  6. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid pattern.
  7. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Prepare the filling a day in advance for optimal freshness. You can experiment with different cheeses or add vegetables.
