Description

Indulge in the rich and velvety layers of homemade chocolate fudge that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook while stirring until the mixture reaches a gentle boil.
  2. Allow the mixture to boil undisturbed for 4-5 minutes, swirling occasionally to prevent burning.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan, smoothing the top for an even finish. Allow to cool until completely set.
  5. Cut into squares and serve with pride.

Notes

Fudge can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for freshness. Consider adding nuts or sea salt on top for extra texture.
