Description

Experience the joy of homemade chicken tenders that rival the beloved fast-food version with a crispy coating and juicy interior.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by soaking the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat to 350°F.
  4. Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  5. Place the chicken tenders into the hot oil, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for enhanced flavor. For a healthier option, consider air-frying or baking the tenders.
