- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 2 cups pretzels
- 1 cup M&M’s
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Combine the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and pretzels in a large mixing bowl.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until it reaches a gentle boil, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in baking soda.
- Pour the caramel mixture over your cereal and pretzel blend, ensuring every piece is well coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Once done, toss in M&M’s while the mix is still warm.
- Allow the mix to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Crack Chex Mix stays fresh for up to two weeks in an airtight container. Consider making a double batch ahead of time.
