Description

A comforting and hearty casserole featuring ground beef, marinara sauce, and layers of cheese, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned. Make sure to drain any excess fat that collects.
  2. Break the noodles: Break your uncooked spaghetti into thirds.
  3. Combine ingredients: Transfer the spaghetti to the crock pot, then add the cooked beef, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and Italian seasoning if using. Mix well.
  4. Let it cook: Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
  5. Add cheeses: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top and let it melt.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Once done, serve hot and enjoy your cozy spaghetti casserole.

Notes

Make ahead by mixing ingredients the night before and refrigerating. For baking, cook covered at 350°F for about 45 minutes.
