- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned. Make sure to drain any excess fat that collects.
- Break the noodles: Break your uncooked spaghetti into thirds.
- Combine ingredients: Transfer the spaghetti to the crock pot, then add the cooked beef, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and Italian seasoning if using. Mix well.
- Let it cook: Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
- Add cheeses: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top and let it melt.
- Serve and enjoy: Once done, serve hot and enjoy your cozy spaghetti casserole.
Notes
Make ahead by mixing ingredients the night before and refrigerating. For baking, cook covered at 350°F for about 45 minutes.
