Description

A comforting and easy dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy broth, topped with fluffy biscuit dumplings, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10 oz) chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In your crockpot, add the chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, frozen mixed vegetables, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly to ensure everything is well-distributed.
  2. Let it cook: Cover and set your crockpot to low. Allow it to cook for 5-6 hours.
  3. Shred the chicken: Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken, shred it using two forks, and return it to the crockpot.
  4. Add biscuits: Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and add them to the pot. Gently mix them in to coat with the broth.
  5. Final cooking: Cover again and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Dish out this delightful meal warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle some fresh herbs like parsley or thyme just before serving.
