- 2 1/2–3 lbs bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (or drumsticks)
- 1 packet (1 oz) chicken gravy mix
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter, cut into pieces
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Start by seasoning the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Optional searing: Sear the chicken skin-side down in a hot skillet for 3–4 minutes.
- Set up the crockpot: Place the seasoned chicken in your slow cooker, arranging it evenly.
- Mix the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, gravy mix, ranch seasoning, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Combine and cook: Pour the sauce over the chicken and scatter butter pieces on top. Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Final touches: Once tender, serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute skinless chicken parts or use a vegetarian cream soup. You can also add vegetables for a one-pot meal.
