- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until rich and deep brown. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Drain any excess fat and transfer the cooked beef mixture into the Crockpot.
- Add the chopped bell pepper, elbow macaroni, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir everything until combined, allowing the flavors to mingle.
- Cover the Crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve warm and enjoy the comforting flavors with your family.
Notes
Make-ahead tip: Prepare the goulash the night before and refrigerate it. The next morning, simply reheat in the crockpot. Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken, or use gluten-free pasta.
