Description

Decadent double chocolate cookies filled with caramel bites and a sprinkle of sea salt, offering a rich and indulgent treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, then incorporate the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients in another bowl and gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  6. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  7. Portion tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Sprinkle sea salt on top while warm.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Stored cookies can last up to a week in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
