Description

A delightful dessert featuring tender, juicy peaches topped with a buttery, crispy crust that captures the essence of summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the peaches by combining them with ½ cup of sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the peaches in the greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute the all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free baking blend. You can also experiment with adding mixed berries for a unique twist.
