Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl.
- Pour in the warm water and olive oil, then mix with a wooden spoon.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Shape into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough to release excess air. It’s ready to shape and top!
