- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan, then flour it lightly to prevent sticking.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

- Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl. Whisk to blend evenly.
- Add the dry ingredients to the creamy mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts (if using). Sprinkle half over the batter in the pan.
- Pour the remaining batter over the filling and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
