Description

Delicious flaky pastry pockets filled with savory ham and melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar and Swiss blend recommended)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: mustard or other condiments

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut it into squares, roughly 4 inches on each side.
  4. Place a small amount of diced ham and cheese in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket, crimping the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed and golden.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare pockets in advance and freeze them uncooked. Bake directly from the freezer when ready to enjoy.
