Description

Golden-brown, flaky puff pastries filled with savory ham and ooey-gooey cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 ounces of ham, sliced
  • 4 ounces of cheese (e.g., cheddar or Swiss), grated
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until it’s about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares, about 4 inches on each side.
  4. Place a slice of ham and a generous amount of grated cheese in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners over the filling to create a pocket and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Prepare pastries the day before and store in the fridge before baking to enjoy them fresh!
