A delightful homemade peach pie that captures the essence of summer with juicy peaches and a flaky crust.

- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 prepared pie crust (top and bottom)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Place the bottom pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
- Pour the peach mixture into the crust, distributing the fruits evenly.
- Dollop tiny bits of butter atop the filling.
- Cover with the top pie crust, sealing and crimping the edges.
- Cut several slits into the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor. Chill the pie crust for easier handling.
